"Wouldn't be surprised if they started to sneak back into the neighborhood, now that there's no traffic or people to stop them from going where they like." Hal still had to get to learn the layout of their new home; at least it was home until they got flushed out of this one again.

"We've got a football field, my dad talked about having people getting a garden together. I don't think the Wal-Marts and all the stores in the world have enough food to keep us here for good." Hal gave the guy the benefit of the doubt, and maybe it was one of the qualities he shared with his dad. At least Daryl seemed interested in helping.
